If you're curious, start here.

Hi there! Welcome to my blog. I’m so grateful to have you here. I can’t wait to meet you.

First, let me introduce myself.

My name’s Fox. My pronouns are they/them or she/hers. I’m queer, non-binary, mentally-ill, and a creator.  I’m creating this blog as a place to gather my thoughts on writing, and living an all around creative life, and to start some conversations among my fellow tender-hearted warriors.

I was driving somewhere a year or so ago, and I was talking myself through some stuff (I do that a lot, especially when out for a walk or in the car). (TOP TIP: If you talk to yourself and are worried about how you look to others around you, put in your headphones so people think you’re on the phone.) I honestly can’t remember much of anything about that day, or that personal conversation, but I do remember coming up with the term tender-hearted warrior.

I’ve always seen myself as overly sensitive or over-dramatic, and because of that, and a lot of other internalized societal bullshit, it took me over ten years to get help for my depression. But eventually, I started to realize that some days surviving the day is a battle, and the survival means that I won. And no matter what medication I’m on, I will always be tender-hearted. And I will keep fighting to build the best version of my life, and fighting for the lives of others.

As I see it, if you’re here, you are a tender-hearted warrior.

Being tender-hearted is a challenge, but it is also a blessing. It means we can feel and hold the suffering of others. It means we can create space for those who need it. It means that we can see the value in recognizing suffering, healing through it, and learning from it.

So welcome to the tender-hearted warrior family. You are here. And I am so thankful for you.

No matter where you are in your journey or what you are searching for, you are welcome here. I’ll be sharing blogs regularly, that will be a mix of creativity and writing tools and experiences, as well as personal stories. This is a space where authenticity is required and conversation is welcome. If you want to chat, please drop me a note, follow me on the socials that are linked below, or comment on the blog.

Let’s start with some introductions!

Now that you know a little about me (trust me, you’ll know a lot more soon if you choose to stick around) I would love to hear about you.

Who are you?

What are you hoping to find here?

What battles have you fought recently? (Share it if you want so that we can cheer on your successes, whether its accomplishing a goal or staying alive.)

Anything you want to share from your journey lately, it’s welcome here.

You are welcome here.

P.S. I’m also going to be doing a series of interviews, guest posts, and collaborations with queer and trans creators of all kinds, my fellow queerators.  So if you’re a queerator, please reach out! I’m still looking for participants in this series.

I’m so excited to meet you! Thank you for being here.
